Dublin is fortunate to have the Aviva Stadium within walking distance (25 minutes) of the city centre and located in an area with good transport links. We encourage you to walk to the Aviva Stadium as it is within a short distance from Dublin City Centre.
It makes sense for you to plan your journey to and from the stadium to ensure you arrive on time and when leaving you know what form of transport you will be taking.
Aviva Stadium is served by a number of different modes of public transport: DART (rail), Dublin Bus and Luas (tram) which bring you a short walk to the Stadium.
Mobility impaired fans are catered for as part of the transportation network in Dublin. All Dublin Bus scheduled services and enhanced services are low floor accessible and capable of meeting the needs of mobility impaired passengers. Similarly Irish Rail have arrangements in place to ensure the transport of mobility impaired passengers in the DART and LUAS lines. The taxi fleet in Dublin has a capability for transporting mobility impaired passengers but this is best booked ahead and is subject to demand
The main mode of transport to and from the stadium should be walking. The Aviva Stadium is a 25 minute walk from Dublin City Centre. We encourage you to walk to and from the Aviva Stadium on game day. Pedestrian walking routes from Dublin City Centre to the Aviva Stadium will be clearly signed and animated. It makes sense for you to plan your journey to and from the Aviva Stadium to ensure you arrive on time and when leaving you know how to return to your desired location. A colour-coded ticketing system and special event day signs will help direct you towards your correct entrance to the Aviva Stadium. Please take note of the transport available to you for getting to and from the stadium on game day.
The Leap Visitor Card is a convenient public transport ticket for tourists and visitors to Dublin. Get unlimited travel for your selected time period on Dublin City Bus services (operated by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland), Luas, DART and Commuter Rail.

Don’t worry about fares or cash, simply touch your card against a Validator. You will hear a tone to verify you have validated properly:
On Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, touch the card against the Leap Card Validator on the right-hand side as you enter the bus.
On Luas (tram), Touch On at a Validator on the platform before you get on the tram and Touch Off when you get off the tram.
On DART and Commuter Rail, Touch On at the platform entry gate or Validator before your journey and Touch Off at the platform exit gate or Validator after your journey. The card can be used between stations within the Short Hop Zone.
Make your travel even easier by downloading the TFI Live App, which allows you to access live real time departure and journey planning information across the Transport for Ireland (TFI) network.
DART (rail) offers a service to and from Lansdowne Road Station which is immediately adjacent to the Aviva Stadium. The DART operates from the Dublin city centre stations of Connolly, Tara Street and Pearse Street.
DART runs along the coast of Dublin from Malahide or Howth (North Dublin), via Dublin city centre as far south as Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
In order for a seamless travel journey please purchase a Leap Card or return ticket to avoid delays.
Connolly Train Station, Tara St and Pearse Street Stations in Dublin City Centre will bring you southbound to Landsdowne Road DART Station.
Dublin Bus is Dublin’s local bus service. The Aviva Stadium is serviced by several bus routes.
It is recommended that you use a Leap Card to pay when travelling by Dublin Bus.
The direct bus routes to the Aviva Stadium from Dublin city centre include 4, 7, and 7a.
Dublin Bus will provide an enhanced bus service for these routes from O'Connell Bridge to Northumberland Rd (a 5-minute walk to the Aviva Stadium).
The expected length of a bus journey from Dublin city centre to the Aviva Stadium is estimated at 20 minutes.
Additional Dublin Bus routes 18, 38, 38A, 47, C1, C2 also service the Aviva Stadium depending on where you are travelling from.
We encourage you to use a Leap Card when using all public transport services.
This is Dublin’s light rail tram system that operates two lines within Dublin's city centre and the greater Dublin Area. There are two lines the Green line and the Red line.
The Red Line operates from Tallaght to 3Arena/Point Village and the Green Line from Brides Glen to Broombridge via St. Stephens Green.
Trams run approximately every 8 minutes in every direction. The real-time passenger information at the tram stop will indicate how long it will be until the next tram arrives.
There is no direct route from the Luas to the Aviva Stadium. However, the Luas (red line) connects to the DART at Connolly Station. You can then get the DART from Connolly Station to Landsdowne Road Station.
The Red Line also stops at The Point Village / 3 Arena which is a 20-minute walk to the Aviva Stadium.
Trinity College Luas stop (Green Line) is a 20-minute walk to the Aviva Stadium or you can take the number 4 or 7 bus from here to Northumberland Rd, a 5-minute walk to the stadium.
Taxis in Ireland can be hired on the street, at a taxi rank or pre-booked.
Dublin city centre is well serviced by taxis with designated ranks at O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street, the South Quays, Dame Street. If a taxi roof light is on, it means the taxi is available for pick-ups and you can flag them down.
Every taxi in Ireland must accept credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as cash – it’s the passenger’s choice.
Taxi drivers are obligated to offer a printed receipt at the end of each journey.
The driver must offer passengers the legal taxi fare receipt from the taximeter (not the card terminal). The taximeter shows passengers exactly what the fare is throughout their journey.
Taxi Apps: Free Now is the default Irish taxi transportation app, you can download in the app store for free. Rideshare apps like Uber also connect users to licensed taxi drivers and not independent rideshare drivers.
There are designated taxi ranks in Dublin City Centre at O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street, the South Quays and Dame Street.

Patrons are requested to be aware that the Aviva Stadium is located in a primarily residential area. Patrons attending are requested to respect residents by behaving in an appropriate manner when arriving at and departing from the Stadium.
Lansdowne Road DART level crossing barriers will close three hours prior to the event and remain down for the duration of the event to facilitate free movement of trains. Pedestrians will transverse the railway line via the under-pass in the Aviva Stadium. Vehicular Traffic will not be permitted when the DART level crossing barriers are down.

There will be no on-street facilities for parking of private vehicles or coaches.
Private Car and Private Coach / Mini-bus car park is available at the RDS in Ballsbridge Dublin 4. This parking facility is a 15-minute walk to and from the Aviva Stadium.
The parking facilities are located on Merrion Road and Anglesea Road.
All coaches must book into a dedicated bus park. Bookings will be managed on a first-come, first-served system.
Please note: Cars, Coaches & Mini-buses, are not permitted to drop off or pick up passengers on any of the main arterial routes around the Aviva Stadium. This is strictly enforced by the Garda.
There will be no roadside parking available, 24-hour towing and clamping will be in operation.
On Location will transport their guests to the Aviva Stadium.
They will drop their guests off at Northumberland Rd which is a short walk to the Aviva Stadium.
Attendees/Spectators post-match will be directed by signage to Northumberland Road.
On Location will have Game Ambassadors within the cordon at Aviva Stadium to direct guests to Northumberland Road. The Game Ambassadors, clearly identifiable, will answer all queries regarding transport for patrons leaving the stadium.
We advise you to plan your journey upon leaving the stadium by walking or by public transport after the game. There will be special event day signs used to help direct you towards the city centre by walking, bus pick-up locations, Lansdowne Rd DART Station, and taxi ranks.
